The evening of 5 March organised by the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of Texas at the Post Oak Hotel Hilton offered a first taste of the ”Authentic Italian Table”. During the preview the city’s finest Italian restaurants went up against the three most famous BBQ restaurants, to demonstrate that the use of authentic Italian food and beverage products can improve even the most traditional Texan recipes. Classic barbeque (BBQ) techniques were employed with the main ingredients chosen for the occasion: IGP Balsamic Vinegar from Modena, Italian tomato puree and extra virgin olive oil, accompanied by Italian wine offered by the main importers of Italian wine in Texas.
