Dining with the Stars, an event promoting genuine Italian agri-food products, was hosted in Houston’s new Con-temporary space. Special guest, Michelin-starred chef Marco Sacco of the Piccolo Lago restaurant on the Italian lake of Mergozzo, presented numerous public culinary demonstrations, describing the history, traditions and characteristics of the PDO and PGI products starring on the menu enjoyed by guests, cheered by the music of famous Italian accordionist, Sergio Scappini. Tony's, the most famous Italian restaurant in Houston, collaborated with the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of Texas in the organization of stands, decorations, staff and the supply of certain products. The event was also attended by the critic and food writer Phedra Cook and the event producer and curator Sherri Segari, in their role as ambassadors of the True Italian Taste project.
