On December 7th, 2017 the IACC organized the “Extraordinary Italian Taste Gala” as part of the Extraordinary Italian Taste promotion. The event took place at the iconic Central Park Boathouse and attracted over 300 guests, including bloggers and influencers that participated in the “Authentic Italian Pizza Week” and in the influencer trips sponsored by Assocamerestero.
During the evening guests were able to taste a variety of DOP products prepared especially for the event such as Golden White Parmigiano Reggiano from Ambrosi, Mozzarella di Bufala from Mozzarella Mo’, Authentic Neapolitan Pizza prepared by Keste’ as well as a variety of DOCG and DOC wines from Mionetto, Bartenura and Associazione Puglia in Rose’.
The IACC sponsored an active social media campaign in association with the Extraordinary Italian Taste Gala, in order to generate traffic to the sponsors and exposure for the promotion. A page of the IACC website was dedicated to the event and constantly updated with information on the event. The IACC sent seven e-mail blasts to its database of 2,500 contacts advertising the promotion to its membership base, and vast network of contacts. To increase the exposure of the project and brands present the IACC also utilized “Instant Media Analyser” as a tool to better understand the perception of the guests in relation to the brands and hashtag “trueitaliantaste”.
