The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce Southeast organised The Italian Culinary Tour, an event to discover Italian enogastronomy culture. This “itinerant dinner” was divided into 4 stages, more specifically in 4 of the most genuine and refined Italian restaurants in Brickell, Miami - i.e. Toscana Divino, Casa Tua Cucina, La Centrale and Cipriani.The event, held during the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, started at 18:00 in the first of the 4 participating restaurants and was opened by the Italian Consul General in Miami, Cristiano Musillo. In his opening speech, the Consul General praised the quality of Italian cuisine worldwide and stressed the importance of promoting Made-in-Italy excellence among a selected target of local influencers, in order to improve the way the authentic nature of Made-in-Italy food and wines is perceived in the US market. The Executive Director of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce Southeast, Nevio Boccanera, took part by presenting the True Italian Taste project and its main objective - to guarantee there is more information, communication and awareness of genuine Italian products in the local market.Each restaurant served a different dish accompanied by an Italian wine. The chefs invited participants to discover their creations and the manager of 7foods (one of the largest importers of Italian Fine Food in Miami) presented the range of strictly DOP and IGP Italian products imported by the company and used to prepare the dishes in the tour’s four stages.The event turned out to be a true “Path to Flavour” - a dive into the true Italian lifestyle!
