The restaurants 50 Friends Prado Norte in Mexico City and Di Vino in Santiago de Querétaro hosted two important events dedicated entirely to Italian pizza. Pizzaiolos Giuseppe Manuele Scalia, winner of the Campeonato Mexicano de la Pizza’s second edition, and Riccardo Bertazzoni, hosted the evenings, expertly taking participants through the history, ingredients, nutritional values and properties of the various types of pizzas, as well as differences between Mexican pizza dough and the authentic Italian version, interacting with participants and involving them in preparing the dough and toppings. The events were rounded off with a tasting session during which the nutritionists, food influencers, importers and students in attendance got to ask some questions to the expert pizza chefs.
