The celebrated Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills played host to ‘True Italian Taste’ during the Italian Excellence Gala & Awards, organised by the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West.

The event focused on the environmental emergency and the response in terms of lifestyle and the Italian culinary experience: in this regard, the best-known and most imitated Italian agro-food delicacies were used for Crateful Catering by chef Luciano Pellegrini, winner of the coveted James Beard Award, in a fusion of tradition and innovation. DOCG wines and PDO products were joined by futuristic proposals and molecular beverages served on teaspoons, which re-interpret tradition with a view to sustainability.

The event got under way with a ‘green carpet experience’, followed by a live video mapping performance organised by Imaginarium Creative Studio, made possible by the collaboration with the Future Food Institute, an entire eco-system that turns food innovation into a key instrument to tackle the great challenges of the future, speaking to the world, whilst promoting the environment, starting with Italy.
